I’m blessed to be part of a family of creatives. And while each of us has our strengths, we all dabble in multiple endeavors. Writing, painting, sculpting, photography, cooking, sewing, modeling, gardening, crafting, if it’s a thing that involves making things, we do it.

To the best of my knowledge, no one in my family was ever a trucker. That didn’t stop my dad from trying to convince us as kids that October 4th was a holiday.

Once upon a time, there was a thing called OSFA. It stood for “One Size Fits All” and was considered a legitimate clothing size.

Then people started saying things like “this is 4 feet too long” and “I can’t get this past my knees” and “is an 8 inch neck circumference really the norm for adults?” and various other responses to the One Size Fits All designation that translated to “the fuck it does”.

After a long hiatus, I’ve decided I want to do NaNoWriMo again this year. I completed it every year from 2003 to 2010, then life got a bit crazy and… yeah. But the time has come to make it a priority again.

So to get back in the habit of focusing on creativity every day, I wanted a warmup month. Hence Blogtober.

I had a goal in 2018. I had a lot of goals, actually, but one specifically. That goal was to make my way through as many of the recipes in The Bob’s Burgers Burger Book as I possibly could.

    The Margarita Bundt

In 2011, I began my tradition of baking an original-recipe Bundt cake in observance of National Bundt Day, which is November 15th.

In March 2017, I wrote up the post for the cake I baked in November 2015. I wasn’t planning on that tardiness becoming part of my tradition, but here we are today, in July 2019, and I’m writing up the cake I baked in November 2018.

Recently, the existence of a product was brought to my attention by one of myriad mailing lists I’m on as a result of not liking most people and doing the majority of my shopping online to avoid people-y situations.

    The product is this.

Visible in the photo set I did for my 49th birthday is a small tattoo over my right hipbone. It isn’t new, I got it about 15 years ago. My decision to let it be visible in my photos, however, is new. So for anyone who might want to hear a story, here is the one about that tattoo and why you’ll be seeing it from now on.
