When the designer first finished the piece, its placeholder name was ‘beautiful toothpaste’ because that’s what it reminded her of. Hence the name of this gallery.
It had been over two months since my last full shoot when I stepped into the studio to do this set. Turns out that’s enough time to forget a lot of things. Creativity in the time of COVID has been struggle enough on its own as far as finding inspiration, but when combined with feeling like every technical skill you ever had has completely atrophied, it’s a recipe for a frustrating day.
Which this was. But eventually I prevailed and got some stuff I’m happy with.
