Stationary Biking (Into the Ocean)

Cyclical pacing
back-to-backspacing
Pulse racing

here-there

here

here.

heart

thumping

back
peddle

back

peddle
back.

Spinning

breathing

reeling

spinning

feeling

dizzy

feelingdizzy
feeling
better…slow…up

better

slow

down…

Better
Stop.

Diner Girl

Reaching for sophistication.

I

feel like a little girl in tall shoes.

Staring

in wide windows                                                                      with big eager eyes.

Waiting for the tiniest

slice

of sweet

satisfaction.

Would I taste it if it was fed to me

with

a

spoon?

Smoldering Disaster

I meant it when I said…

I’m soft

and short

and sweet

(a natural disaster.)

Tonight…

I’m thinking in whispers

and wondering

if your ears burn.

Because…

I’m quietly smoldering

and dizzy

from too much air

(between us)

~~~
Dailies
I overindulge in contemplation
and drink the last drop
of optimism.
I serve a cynical side
with a dash of sarcasm
and a drizzle of whit.
I eat analogy for breakfast.
I nibble on a handful of words all day.
Thoughts are a bad midnight snack
They keep me up at night
Regurgitating.
~~~

uneasy

sitting there

sipping beer

maybe wine

would be nice

don’t you see

tonite
i’m easy

overripe

and peachy

bursting

if you touch me

but there you are

over there

living life

in a chair

so I’ll wish

to hear you snore

and blow a kiss

from the door
